Crazy and Rhythm
Yvette Audain is a prolific, versatile Auckland musician and composer. In March 2011 she presented the exceptionally well-attended Grooves Unspoken: The Music of Yvette Audain, Equally at home in a variety of genres including classical, jazz and free improvisation, Yvette has composed and arranged for, among other ensembles, the Auckland Philharmonia.
Her most recent composition performance by the APO was her work Eulogy for narrator and orchestra, in their recent Works With Words programme. She relishes jazz duo work and is joined by James Fleming focussing on Swing Style accompaniment, with odd Latin Number thrown in as they present creative, intuitive improvised solos on songs she loves.
