A St. Valentine's Day treat for romantics of all ages!
The trio of Linn Lorkin, chanteuse, Hershal, accordéoniste and Peter Scott, bassiste, perform a charming pot pourri of the most well-loved French chansons of all time sung in French and English with some smooth three-part harmonies, jazz riffs and the occasional foray into Italian and Spanish.
The simple but rich accordion accompaniment and the resonant double bass combined with Lorkin's passionate singing will transport you to an era when the java accordionist and the street-style chanteuse reigned supreme in the smoky clubs and cafes of Paris.
French Toast has performed in the US, UK and Australia and has made two highly extensive national NZ tours wih their popular "In a French Cafe" cabaret show.
