Silver Spear
The Silver Spear, back by popular demand to the Great Barrier Island Musselfest where last year they delighted the crowds with their eclectic mix of Irish, Scottish, Pop, Rock and even a bit of country. The island folk still reminisce about the sounds of a great cover version of Led Zeppelins Whole Lotta Love filling the amphitheatre that is Port Fitzroy.
The Silver Spear were put together as a mash up especially for last years gig and are delighted to make the return journey in an attempt to recreate the magic of last years Musselfest Sean Kelly of Sean Kelly & Friends & The Celtic Flyers infamy leads a handsome (in a Shane McGowan kind of way) band of musos including Gerry O'Neill all the way from Glasgow, via Titirangi; Jono Lonie on fiddle and mandolin; Dave Hartley on bass guitar and Earl 'The Man' on drums.
