Vincent Ward's deeply personal and incredibly moving film unravels and re-imagines the story of Puhi, the Tuhoe woman he documented in 1978 for his early film In Spring One Plants Alone. Make sure you're there early to catch The Broken Heartbreakers. The Broken Heartbreakers are realists, opting for vintage analogue recordings to capture a sound that boasts vocals by Rachel Bailey and John Guy Howel, a mandolin, a mellotron and more. The endearing balance between words and artful composition is breath taking.
