Sassy and the Pocketbook
Sassy & The Pocketbook officially burst on to the scene with their debut single October 2011. This line-up has been brewing since early 2010, during a residency held at Grand Central bar in Ponsonby, Auckland where they developed a unique sound and locked groove, and 'Sassy & The Pocketbook' was born.
The Pocketbook are an infectious band with a focus on 'pocket' grooves, they are the bringers of the magic; keepers of the low end, laying down a beat that is undeniable. Their live set consists of soulful original songs written by the band's lead vocalist Bex Nabouta (aka Sassy). Currently recording their debut album 'Quest for the Pocket' due out soon.
